Meditating With Stones

Interview with Leni Kae, Certified Meditation teacher, Mantra writer for Mantra & Stone Co, and artist.
Q. What is Meditation?

A. Leni Kae:Meditation is the act of focusing your attention on the inner self, with the intention taking an inner journey of conscious awareness and connection. We start with the outer layers of the body, our senses, then work inwards to an awareness of our emotions, our mind, our memory. Once we connect with ourselves, we are better able to realise our connection to something greater than us; be it an energetic connection to the world around us, to greater spiritual truths.

Q. Why Meditate With Stones?

A. Leni Kae:It is no secret that nature has the power to stir our emotion and memory. Looking at a calm ocean for example, generally reminds us of peaceful memories and stir feelings of tranquility.

By meditating with stones, we create a sensory experiences that has the potential to forge a bridge between the physical external world, and our internal world of symbolic association and emotional memory.

Together with focused thought, mantra or meditation, we may awaken memories and revisit experiences that can lead to a deeper understanding of the self; creating the opportunity for self-discovery and self-improvement.

Q. Tell Us About the Mantra and Meditation Writings

A. Leni Kae:All mantra poems, writings, and meditations featured on Mantra & Stone Co cards are inspired writings; they have been channeled while meditating on the stone type. The words written are the result of giving voice to visual memories, dreams and emotions.

To have a collection for your meditation practice is a nice way to guide your inner journey in accordance to your intention in that moment. Which Mantra Card you are drawn to can provide insight into what your body or mind needs for balance and inner calm.

It is my hope that the Mantra Cards help provide you with the gift of an inner journey to your own emotions and subconscious memory; awakening your inner truth, peace, and joy along the way.
